TUCSON, Ariz. -- Zac Blair moved up eight spots into a tie for 45th after an even-par 71 in round two of the NCAA Southwest Regional Friday in Tucson, Arizona.

“Zac’s (Blair) making enough birdies," said BYU director of golf operations Todd Miller. "He shot even par, and on this course you can’t make bogeys. He’s just making some simple mistakes.”

Blair started round two strong by carding four birdies on his first nine holes. His 71 on day two gives him a two-round total of 146 (+4).

Just three strokes out of the top 25, Blair needs to be the top individual not on the top five teams in order to advance to the NCAA finals.

Round three begins Saturday at 8:50 am MT with Blair teeing off at 10:40 am MT. Follow final-round action live by visiting www.golfstat.com.
