PROVO -- Seniors Robbie Fillmore and Brady Johnson were honored Wednesday as 2009-10 Mountain West Conference Scholar-Athletes, joining 106 other student-athletes from BYU.

Johnson received his fourth-consecutive honor while Fillmore earned his second-career award. The two finished first and second in stroke average for BYU. Fillmore finished with a 71.2 average while Johnson finished 2010 with a 72.1 average.

The duo led the Cougars to a fourth-place finish in the MWC Championships with Fillmore capturing a third-place finish at the NCAA Southeast Regional before tying for 18th at the NCAA Championships.

A total of 548 MWC student-athletes were honored, one short of the record of 549 student-athletes honored for the 2008-09 academic year.

To be eligible for selection, student-athletes must have completed at least two academic terms at the member institution, while maintaining a cumulative grade point average of 3.5 or better, and have participated in varsity competition in an NCAA-sanctioned sport.
