PROVO -- Postseason honors continue to pour in for Cougar golfer Robbie Fillmore. The senior has been named All-America honorable Mention by the Golf Coaches Association of America after a stellar season that saw him tie for 18th at the NCAA Championships.

“It’s really great to be honored,” said Fillmore. “I had a lot of fun this season, and the NCAA Championships was a great way to finish my BYU career. I’m grateful for the opportunity I had to play here.”

Fillmore was BYU’s top golfer all season and ranked second in the Mountain West Conference in stroke average at 70.97. He received an invitation to the NCAA Championships after finishing third at the NCAA Southeast Regional. In addition to his All-America nod, Fillmore was also named All-MWC and PING All-West Region. He finished the year ranked No. 52 in the nation.

This season, the Salt Lake City, Utah, native posted the first tournament victory of his career at the Fresno State Lexus Classic, beating out 99 other golfers for a one-shot victory on the first playoff hole. Fillmore had five other top-5 finishes and finished nine of 12 events at even par or under. He achieved a low round of 65 at the Pacific Invitational and led the Cougars in eight tournaments overall, including seven of the last eight team events of the year.
