
Cougars Finish Fourth at Desert Shootout

GOODYEAR -- Led by Jordan Rodgers' score of 9-under, BYU finished fourth of 13 teams at the 2010 Desert Shootout on Saturday.
The Cougars shot a combined 5-under to end the shootout four shots behind winners Kansas and Wichita State and one shot behind Eastern Michigan.
Rodgers, a sophomore from Salt Lake City, shot a 68 in the opening round for his best score of the shootout. His final-round 69 was a team best on Saturday.
Senior Robbie Fillmore finished in fifth place, one shot behind Rodgers at 6-under. His 68 for the second round was a team high.
Freshman Zac Blair submitted a 2-under, good for 13th overall.
Senior Brady Johnson finished 28th while Esteban Calisto placed 35th and Alton Anderson placed 72nd.
BYU will take next weekend off before returning to Arizona for the ASU Thunderbird in Phoenix on April 2-3.
