STOCKTON -- For the second time in as many days, the BYU men’s golf team went 5-under-par at the Pacific Invitational, finishing the second round at -10 overall and in sixth place. Senior Robbie Fillmore continued his impressive play as he moved to 8-under overall.

One day after shooting the best round of his collegiate career, Fillmore again went under par with a two-under 69. His round featured four birdies, bringing his two-day total to 11. Fillmore started and finished the round in style with birdies on his first and last holes. Overall, Fillmore is in third place among a field of 60 golfers.

Despite being impressive, Fillmore’s score was not the lowest of the day for BYU. Two other Cougars went one stroke better at 68 as Brady Johnson and Esteban Calisto were both 3-under-par. Johnson threw five birdies into his round and went -3 on the back nine holes. His two-day score of 4-under-par has him tied for 10th place. Calisto rebounded from a 77 on day one with four birdies to move to +3 for the tournament, tied for 39th.

Jordan Rodgers began his second round struggling out of the gate with three birdies in the first eight holes but righted the ship to go even over the last 10 holes. His round 74 (+3) moved him to +1 for the event, tied for 29th. Zac Blair was+7 on the day and +11 through two rounds to tie for 56th.

The Cougars will play their final round of the tournament and the fall season on Wednesday.
