Former Cougar PGA Tour Stars to Conduct Golf Clinic
PROVO -- The BYU men’s golf program is hosting a free golf clinic as part of its Cougar Day on Monday, Sept. 21, at 9 a.m., at Riverside Country Club in Provo.
PGA Hall-of-Famer Billy Casper, along with several former BYU golfers who went on to play professionally on the PGA Tour will participate in the clinic. Former Cougars expected to be in attendance include Johnny Miller (three-time major champion), Mike Weir (2003 Masters Champion), Mike Reid (current champions tour) and several other tour players including Bobby Clampett, Pat McGowan, Dick Zokol, Dean Wilson and Daniel Summerhays. The clinic begins at 9 a.m., and will be conducted on the 1st Tee.
Former BYU head golf coach Karl Tucker, current head coach Bruce Brockbank, assistant coach Todd Miller and the 2009-10 golf team, will also be on hand at the clinic.
On Friday, Sept. 25, the 1981 Men’s Golf National Championship Team will be inducted into the BYU Athletic Hall of Fame.
