No. 7 Cougars Start Slow at Red River Shootout
Dallas, Texas--BYU's seventh-ranked men's golf team struggled in the first two rounds of the 13th-annual Red River Shootout at the Dallas Athletic Club on Monday.
The Cougars, who have successfully rose in the rankings the past month, seemed to have cooled off in the first two rounds. Jesse Hibler leads BYU after shooting 74-68--142 followed by Rolex Collegiate Golfer of the Month for September Billy Harvey who shot 73-70--143.
BYU finds itself 14 shots out of the lead in 11th place behind Southern California. The Cougars placed sixth at last year's Red River shootout. The final 18 holes will be played on Tuesday started at 8 a.m. Central Standard Time.
