PROVO, Utah — BYU men’s golf begins its 2022-23 season as they compete in the 2022 USF Intercollegiate at The Olympic Club, Sept. 12-13 in San Francisco.

“Our players and coaching staff can’t wait to get this season started,” said BYU director of golf Todd Miller. “We ended the 2021-22 season with a lot of momentum and our guys worked hard all summer to keep getting better.”

Two-time All-American Carson Lundell will be joined by David Timmins, Elijah Turner, Zac Jones and Tyson Shelley as the Cougars look to grab a season-opening win in back-to-back seasons. Keanu Akina will tee it up as an individual this week at the Lake Course.

“Our starting five that will tee it up at Olympic Club have played some great golf and accomplished a lot over the past 3 months,” said Miller. “They have a lot of confidence that they can win, and we hope our play can match our expectations.”

The BYU men are coming off a season in which they won twice at the William H. Tucker Intercollegiate and 57th Cougar Classic, a runner-up finish at the WCC Championship, a third-place finish at the NCAA Stockton Regional and a 21st place finish at the NCAA Championship.

Live scoring for the USF Intercollegiate will be available at golfstat.com, as well as live updates on the BYU men’s golf instagram and twitter accounts.
