Men's golf signs Jackson Mauss for 2022-23 season
PROVO, Utah — BYU men’s golf announced that Jackson Mauss of Draper, Utah, has signed a National Letter of Intent to play for the Cougars beginning the 2022-23 season.
“We are very excited to add Jackson to our team,” said BYU head coach Bruce Brockbank. “He’s passionate about the game of golf and works every day to improve his skills. He loves to compete, has the ability to rise to the occasion and is a great kid who inspires those around him to be their best”
The product of Corner Canyon High School is a two-time 6A all-state honoree, a member of the 2021 Utah Eddie Hogan Cup team and is the highest ranked Utah golfer in the class of 2022.
This past summer, he won the 2021 IMG-Junior World Qualifier at Mountain Dell Golf Club by three shots after shooting 7-under par with rounds of 68-69-72—209.
Mauss also captured the Glenmore Junior Major Championship with consecutive rounds in the 60’s after shooting 68-65—133 for a two day 11-under par total.
He shot 9-under par to tie for first at the 2021 Johnny Miller Championship with rounds of 70-67-70—207.
Mauss will join the Cougars for the 2022-23 season after graduating from Corner Canyon.
