BYU takes momentum into the WCC Championship
STOCKTON, Calif. – Off a win at the PING Cougar Classic, BYU men's golf heads to The Reserve at Spanos Park to compete in the West Coast Conference Championship beginning Thursday.
"We always look forward to this time of the year," BYU head coach Bruce Brockbank said. "We work all year to be ready. We'll need to bring our best stuff to have a chance to win."
Last week at Riverside Country Club, the Cougars were carried by Peter Kuest, who won his fifth tournament of the season with a Cougar Classic record of 199 (-17) strokes. For BYU, it marked the second first-place finish in 2018-19.
Pepperdine (No. 18) comes into the tournament as the top-ranked team in the WCC. The Cougars follow next with a No. 30 ranking.
Teams will play 18 holes on the par-72 course on Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Live scoring is available at GolfStat.com.
