BYU returns to California for final fall tournament
PEBBLE BEACH, Calif. – No. 19 BYU men’s golf returns to California for its final tournament of the fall season, competing in the St. Mary’s Invitational Nov. 5-7.
“It’s going to be an exciting week for the team,” BYU head coach Bruce Brockbank said. “We will need everyone to step up to finish the fall season off strong.”
The Cougars took fourth overall as a team last year at Pebble Beach, with Rhett Rasmussen finishing tied for eighth. Peter Kuest also competed in last year’s tournament.
BYU is still looking for its second victory of the season, after finishing in second place last week in Stockton. Kuest looks to continue his hot streak after tying the lowest three-round score in BYU golf history with a 197 (-16) at the Pacific Invitational. He is currently ranked No. 15 in the nation individually with two tournament wins under his belt already.
The team will play 52 holes on the par-71, 6,945-yard course at Poppy Hills Golf Club hosted by WCC foe Saint Mary's. Live stats and the leaderboard can be found at Golfstat.
