SAN BRUNO, Calif. – Peter Kuest was named the West Coast Conference Golfer of the Month for September on Wednesday.

This is the first golfer of the month award for Kuest following his first-place finish at the William H. Tucker Invitational on Sep. 28-29. It is also Kuest's first WCC honor since he was named to the All-WCC First Team and won the conference championship as a freshman in 2017.

Kuest tied his then-lowest score at BYU with an 11-under 205 at the Tucker Invitational, helping BYU to a first place team finish at the tournament. He shot under 70 in each round of the tournament for the first time in his career, including two rounds of 68 (-4). The junior averaged 68.33 in the month of September.

Kuest beat his lowest score with a 204 (-6) at the Jerry Pate National Intercollegiate yesterday and also shot under 70 in each of the three rounds again, finishing in third place at the tournament.
