VESTAVIA HILLS, Ala. – BYU men’s golf looks to improve upon last year’s performance and add another top finish to this season at the Jerry Pate Intercollegiate at Old Overton Club in Vestavia Hills, Alabama, Oct. 8-9.

Peter Kuest and Rhett Rasmussen both placed in the top 20 at last year’s tournament, helping BYU to a fourth-place finish with 12th and 16th-place individual finishes, respectively.

The Cougars have started the 2018 season off well, placing first and second in their first two tournaments, and look to maintain their excellent form heading into the tournament next week.

Rasmussen and freshman Carson Lundell finished in the top 10 at the Cougars’ first two tournaments and the team will look to them again to lead the pack. Kuest has the Cougars’ lone victory on the season at the William H. Tucker Invitational, but fell out of the top 20 at the Nick Watney Invitational last week. He will look to come back and finish well for the Cougars again.

The team will play 36 holes on Monday, Oct. 8, followed by a final round of 18 holes on Tuesday, Oct. 9. Live stats and the leaderboard can be found at Golfstat.
