Patrick Fishburn named to PING All-American third team

LITCHFIELD PARK, Ariz. – BYU senior Patrick Fishburn was named to the PING All-America Third Team by the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA).

He was one of 31 college golfers named to the First, Second or Third All-America Team. Fishburn competed in this year's NCAA Championships and garnered his second-straight West Coast Conference Player of the Year award.

Fishburn finished second at the NCAA Norman Regional with a 10-under-par 206, only one stroke behind the winner. He went on to finish 35th overall as an individual at nationals. The Utah native racked up 10 top 10 finishes throughout the season, including first place at the Pacific Invitational, where he matched his BYU career-low score of 65 in the final round.

Fishburn's BYU career is now over but he will begin professional play this month at the 2018 Utah Championship Jul. 9-15.
