Men's golf to compete in The Goodwin

PROVO, Utah — BYU men’s golf will participate in The Goodwin hosted by Stanford University on March 30-April 1.

Playing in their fourth tournament of the spring, the Cougars will compete alongside 23 other teams at Stanford Golf Course—No. 12 and host Stanford, No. 1 USC, No. 10 Oregon, No. 17 UNLV, No. 18 Colorado, Cal Poly, Chico State, Colorado State, Fresno State, Marquette, Nevada, Northern Colorado, Oregon State, San Jose State, Southern Methodist, UC Davis, UCLA, Washington and Wyoming.

West Coast Conference opponents Pacific, Pepperdine, Saint Mary’s and San Francisco will also participate in the event.

The par-70 course will play at 6,727 yards. Teams will play 54 holes of stroke play over three days.

In the 2015-16 season, BYU placed 14th out of 26 schools at The Goodwin. Patrick Fishburn led the Cougars, tying for a team-best 29th place. UC Davis finished first last year.

BYU men’s golf will tee off on Thursday at 12:26 p.m. PDT.
