Fishburn in 54th after two rounds of play
ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — After the second day of the Division I NCAA Regional held at the UNM Championship Course on Tuesday, Patrick Fishburn is tied for 54th place.
Fishburn, who shot 2-over in the first round, shot 13-over in round two in tough conditions. He is in a three-way tie for 54th place, and sits at 15-over through the tournament's first two rounds.
The sophomore started off the day on the back nine, shooting 6-over. He birdied the 14th hole. Fishburn shot 85 in Tuesday's second round.
Fellow West Coast Conference golfer, Hayden Shieh of Santa Clara, who is also competing in the regional event as an individual, is tied for 20th place.
On the team side, No. 11 Arizona State still leads all schools at 6-over. Sun Devil Jon Rahm leads all individuals by at least four strokes at 4-under.
Teams and individuals will finish the NCAA Regional with the third and final round on Wednesday. Fishburn will tee off at 9:42 a.m. MT. The sophomore will start play on the 10th hole. Follow Fishburn live at the NCAA Regionals with links provided on the BYU men’s golf schedule page.
