Fishburn to participate in NCAA Regionals
PROVO, Utah — Patrick Fishburn will represent BYU men's golf as an individual competitor at the NCAA Division I Regional in Albuquerque, New Mexico, May 16-18.
Fishburn will compete alongside four other individuals at the regional event including Hayden Shieh (Santa Clara), Frederik Dreier (UTEP), Trevor Clayton (Fresno State) and Nicholas Dillo (Saint Peter's). The low five teams and the low individual not on those teams from each regional event will advance to the NCAA Division I Championship in Eugene, Oregon.
The sophomore had seven top-20 finishes in the 2015-16 season. He also finished in the top 10 six times and placed in the top 5 on three occasions.
In the month of April, Fishburn competed in two events--the PING Cougar Classic and the WCC Championship. He shot an average round of 69.7 in the month of April, placing in the top 5 in both events.
