Rodgers Named Cleveland Golf/Srixon All-America Scholar

NORMAN, Okla. – The Golf Coaches Association of America announced the Cleveland Golf/Srixon All-America Scholar Team this past Wednesday, and BYU’s Jordan Rodgers' name was among the award winners.

Rodgers, a business administration major, wrapped up his senior season at BYU in May earning a myriad of awards, and now can add this to the honors.

Rodgers, the recent Utah State Amateur title winner, was one of 206 Division I players to earn the honor.  For Division I athletes to be eligible for Cleveland Golf/Srixon All-America Scholar status an individual must be of high moral character, be a junior or senior academically, compete in at least three full years at the collegiate level, participate in 50-percent of his team’s competitive rounds, have a stroke-average under 76.0 and maintain a minimum cumulative grade-point average of 3.2.   

Rodgers ended his senior year with a stroke-average of 72.7 in 13 events, recording three Top 10 finishes, and a first place finish at the PING Cougar Classic in April.
