Cougars at Pacific Invitational this week
PROVO, Utah – BYU men’s golf travels to California this week to play in the Visit Stockton Pacific Invitational on Oct. 30 – Nov. 1.
This is the last fall tournament of the season for the Cougars. Fellow West Coast Conference member Pacific is hosting the 11-team tournament in Stockton, California.
In this tournament last year, junior Joe Parkinson not only took first place individually, but also led the team to a first-place finish. Parkinson shot 13-under-par and the team completed the tournament 26-under-par.
The Cougars are hoping to improve after a ninth-place finish at the Alister MacKenzie Invitational. Junior Tommy Higham shot a career-low 67 in the first round in the tournament and finished in a tie for 30th place.
The invitational is a three-day tournament with 18 holes per day. Live scoring will be available on the BYU men’s golf schedule page.
