COLUMBIA -- One night after defending its 2001 Cat Classic championship, the BYU women's gymnastics team pulled in a few more awards Saturday night. Jaime Mabray took the individual beam title with a score of 9.900 and Kelly Parkinson-Evanson defended her vault title, also scoring a 9.900. The 22nd annual State Farm Cat Classic featured an individual competition for each of the four events Saturday night.

Mabray took second in the all-around Friday night and conitnued her success on the beam Saturday night. Mabray improved on her score of 9.875 on the beam from the night before. Parkinson-Evanson stepped it up a notch as well to take home the title again. After a 9.850 on vault Friday, she scored a 9.900 to win for the second straight year.

Friday night, BYU won the team title with a score of 194.950. Missouri took second with a 194.475, Pittsburgh third with a 193.050 and Auburn fourth with a 192.500. BYU will compete at in-state rival Utah State Friday night in Logan, Utah. It will be the first of two meetings with the Aggies, as Utah State will come to Provo Feb. 22.
