Provo, Utah — BYU women’s golf looks to officially kick off its spring season as the team will compete Monday and Tuesday in The Gold Rush at the Old Ranch Country Club in Seal Beach, California.

Hosted by Long Beach State, the Cougars will participate in The Gold Rush along with 14 other teams. Gonzaga will also represent the West Coast Conference in the event. The course will be par-72 and teams will play two 18-hole rounds Monday and the last 18 holes, Tuesday.

The Cougars are coming off a head-to-head win against Colorado State last week. Annie Yang finished with the lowest score individually as she shot three-under-par through 54 holes.

In 2015 BYU tied for third place with UC Riverside, and Cougar senior Lea Garner took first place individually at The Gold Rush.

Teams will tee off in a shotgun start at 8 a.m. PST Monday morning. The event can be followed live through the BYU women's golf schedule page.
