• Has three sisters
• Sister Amanda plays softball for the University of Hawaii
• Served as the team manager in 2008 after redshirting in 2007
• Enjoys snowboarding, going to the beach and board games
• Sports hero is AVP Tour player Kerri Walsh
• Played soccer growing up until undergoing hip surgery in the eighth grade and switching to volleyball in high school
• Exercise and wellness major

Before BYU

• Played for the Southern California Volleyball Club 18-Nike team under current USC head coach Mick Haley
• Two-year letterwinner at North Torrance High School under head coach Lawrence Hom
• Earned first-team all-league recognition as a senior in 2006 while totaling 246 kills, 21 assists, 56 aces, 420 digs and 31 blocks on .300 hitting
• Named team captain and all-tournament in 2006
• Team advanced to the CIF semifinals during her junior year in 2005
• Played with the junior varsity team as a freshman and sophomore, serving as team captain in 2004 and earning team MVP honors
• Earned all-tournament honors as a sophomore
• Named to the Honor Roll as a freshman, sophomore and junior
• Received NTHS's Excellent Citizenship Award all three years
• Active member of the Student Council, Polynesian Club, Letterman's Club and National Honors Society
