PROVO, Utah - After splitting for competition last week, the BYU swim and dive team will continue their separation as the swim team travels to Long Beach for the Arena Invite and the dive team travels to Tucson for the Wildcat Invite this weekend.

The swimmers will compete from Nov. 17 through the 19, while the divers will compete Nov. 18 and 19.

“This invite always has really tough competition,” BYU head coach Tim Powers said. “There are some very talented teams on both the men and women’s side. We expect our swimmers to perform well and get a better idea of the competition we will face during conference championships. This will also be the first real look at college competition for our new swimmers.”

Last year at the Wildcat diving invite, Brandon Watson took first place in the 3-meter springboard competition.

“We’re expecting to do really well again this year,” BYU head dive coach Keith Russell said. “Our divers have been performing well and we always look forward to this meet and the competition it brings.”

This will be the last competition for the Cougars before they head to San Diego for their annul Christmas training.
