PROVO -- The women of BYU’s swim team will travel to Ft. Collins, Saturday, as they face off against the Colorado State Rams in their first competition of the new year.

“CSU has some great swimmers who will give us a look in each race,” BYU head coach Tim Powers said. “We expect great competition and we’re excited to get back to conference meets.”

Both teams will start the year after coming off big wins in December. The Cougars’ last competition was Dec. 4 against Seattle University where they swam past the Redhawks with ease. CSU conquered their in-state rival, Northern Colorado, on Dec. 11.

Since then, the Cougars were able to spend Christmas break in San Diego for winter training where they worked the hardest they have all season in preparation for the conference championships.

The meet will take place at 12 p.m. Saturday at Moby Pool. Check back to www.byucougars.com/swimming_diving for updates on this meet.
