PROVO, Utah – BYU swimmers Katie McBratney and Connor Stirling earned the MPSF Athlete of the Week awards after impressive racing against UNLV last weekend.

This is McBratney’s second career MPSF weekly award, receiving her first honor on Oct. 9. The freshman placed first in both the 500 free (4:57.32) and the 400 IM (4:22.05) against the Rebels, touching over five seconds before the second-place finisher in the 400 IM. McBratney also placed second in the 100 breast with a time of 1:02.84.

Stirling earned his first MPSF honor by helping the Cougars defeat UNLV behind several first-place finishes. The senior won both the 50 free (20.73) and the 100 free (45.29) and was part of the winning 200 medley relay and 400 free relay teams.
