PROVO, Utah – The BYU swim and dive team hosts Grand Canyon on Saturday, Jan. 12, at 11 a.m MST at the Richard Building Pool. Admission is free.

“This is the final home meet for the seniors,” BYU head coach John Brooks said. “We are all looking forward to racing in our new pool again and are hoping to have a full house.”

Senior Payton Sorenson has dominated in the 50-yard freestyle, recording a personal best of 19.19. In addition, he placed second at Nationals where he qualified for the Olympic Trials. Kunmi Ogunfeibo has played a big role in defeating Old Dominion, Mount Saint Mary’s and Gardner-Webb in the Liberty Invitational with his impressive times in the 100- and 200-yard backstrokes.

Following the conclusion of the meet, a senior presentation will be shared to showcase the senior Cougars. In addition, athletes from other sports, including football, baseball and softball, will compete in a relay race during the first break of the meet. One-hundred Cougar Tails will also be handed out.
