PROVO, Utah – Zerlynn Tiang was named Mountain Pacific Sports Federation/Turbo Athlete of the Week by the MPSF and was named conference Swimmer-of-the-Week by CollegeSwimming.com after leading BYU to a win against Oregon State last weekend.

The junior captain from Singapore swam a lifetime best in the 1000-yard freestyle with a time of 10:40 in the victory against Oregon State. She then took first in both the 100 (57.10) and 200 butterfly (2:06.07). Those wins and willingness to swim the 1000 free helped the team secure the big win for the Cougars over the weekend. This is Tiang's first selection as MPSF/Turbo Athlete of the Week and CollegeSwimming.com MPFS Swimmer-of-the-Week this season.
