BYU swim and dive prepares for annual alumni meet
The BYU swim and dive team will host its annual alumni meet Friday, Oct. 2 at 3 p.m. MDT at the Richards Building Pool in preparation for its upcoming season.
“We are hoping for a great turnout from the alumni and the fans,” BYU head coach John Brooks said. “This meet will be a great opportunity for our current athletes to have a chance to race, and we are hoping to have some good competition.”
The alumni meet will give this season’s swimmers and divers a chance to compete with former teammates and past swim and dive alumni. The meet is non-scored and will not count towards ranking, but it will give athletes returning from missions and this season’s group of incoming freshman a great opportunity to get in the pool and gain some experience before the season begins in a relaxed and fun environment.
Cougar fans and alumni are invited to attend the event, which will offer free admission.
