Women's swim set to take on UCSB, No. 18 UCLA
PROVO, Utah – The BYU women’s swim team hits the road this week to participate in a double-dual meet against UC Santa Barbara and No. 18 UCLA in Santa Barbara, California, Saturday.
“I’m really looking forward to the first dual meet of the season,” head coach John Brooks said. “We are looking to do some top racing and record good times. UC Santa Barbara and UCLA are coached well and we have great respect for both teams.”
The Cougars are looking to build off solid performances at the Intermountain Shootout from Vanessa Moffatt, Johanna Skaggs, Emily To’o, Riley Buer and others. In their first meet of the season in Grand Junction, Colorado, the women defeated Colorado Mesa in their dual meet while falling to Utah.
UCLA will be competing in its second meet of the season, having defeated Washington State 143-104 on Oct. 10. The meet will be UC Santa Barbara’s first of the season.
The meet begins at 1:00 p.m. MDT on Oct. 25. For updated results after the meet check the BYU women's schedule page.
