Five players named to All-Region Teams
PROVO, Utah - Five members of the BYU women's soccer team have been award All-Region honors by the NCAA .
The Cougars finished the season with a 20-2-2 record after making their first trip back to the NCAA Tournament Elite Eight in nine years and winning their first outright West Coast Conference title.
Seniors Lindsi Lisonbee Cutshall and Jessica Ringwood were named to the NCAA Division I All-West Region First Team. Both Cutshall and Ringwood were also named NSCAA All-Americans at the end of this season for their efforts in helping BYU to one of its most successful seasons in program history.
Cutshall anchored a BYU defense that allowed just 13 goals all season while holding its opponents to an average of just 8.5 shot per game. Ringwood finished the season with a team-leading nine goals, three assists and 87 shots.
Included on the NCAA Division I All-West Region Second Team were BYU players Erica Owens, Cloee Colohan and Carlee Payne Holmoe.
As BYU's starting goalkeeper, Owens tallied 13 shutouts while spending over 2,000 minutes in front of the goal and making 77 saves.
Colohan finished the season with five goals, three assists and 46 shots with teammate Holmoe adding seven goals, a team-leading nine assists and 39 shots.
