SAN BRUNO, Calif. – Four members of the BYU women’s soccer team have been included on the 2012 West Coast Conference Women’s Soccer All-Academic Team and All-Academic Honorable Mention Team, as released by the WCC on Friday.

Senior Carlee Payne Holmoe and junior Erica Owens are on the All-Academic Team with Ashley Bazzarone and Dana Oldroyd Cusick included on the All-Academic Honorable Mention Team.

Holmoe is the only player, from any school, on this year’s All-Academic Team that was also included on last year's list.

At the conclusion of each athletic season, the WCC selects an all-academic squad for each WCC-sponsored sport. To be considered, a student-athlete must maintain at least a 3.20 cumulative grade point average, while also being a significant contributor to her team.

The Cougars are 17-1-1 on the season, 6-0-1 in conference play and are the outright 2012 WCC champions with one more game left to play in the regular season.
