2012 Team Captains Announced

PROVO, Utah - The BYU women's soccer team has selected senior Cami Jensen and junior Erica Owens as this year's team captains.
"It's a great honor, truly, to be a captain this season," Jensen said. "Our team works really well together and we all respect on another. It's a leadership position but, all in all, it's for the team and all about the team. It's a good opportunity for me to help the team live up to its potential."
Jensen has played in 47 games, and started 24, in her career at BYU while tallying 11 shots and a goal. Owens saw action in two game her freshman year, 2009, but has battled a few injuries since then.
"I'm excited to be a captain this year," Owens said. "I look forward to the opportunity of helping the team increase its desire and passion for being successful."
The 2012 squad begins their new season this weekend, Friday August 17, on the road against UC Irvine.
