WCC Academic All-Conference Teams Announced
San Bruno, Calif. - Five members of the BYU women's soccer team joined 41 fellow West Coast Conference women's soccer athletes to be honored on the 2011 WCC All-Academic Teams.
Senior McKinzie Olson and junior Carlee Payne were honored on the All-Academic Team while teammates Lauren Anderson Cosby, Stacy Bartholomew and Dana Oldroyd were honored with an All-Academic Honorable Mention.
Olson is studying Clinical Laboratory Science and currently holds a 3.42 GPA. Payne is studying Public Health and currently holds a 3.53 GPA. Payne and Olson were also both honored to be a part of the All-WCC Teams, announced yesterday.
Cosby is a senior studying Organization Behavior/Human Resources Management in the BYU Marriott School of Management with a 3.58 GPA. Bartholomew is studying Exercise Science with a 3.55 GPA and Oldroyd is studying Psychology with a 3.57 GPA.
At the conclusion of each athletic season, the WCC selects an all-academic squad for each WCC-sponsored sport. To be considered, a student-athlete must maintain at least a 3.20 cumulative grade point average, while also being a significant contributor to her team.
