SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. - Behind two goals from junior transfer Colette Jepson, the BYU women's soccer team(10-4-3, 4-1-1) stole a 5-1 victory on the road against the University of San Francisco, Thursday.

Jepson's two goals led the team on offense with Jennie Marshall's team-high five shots, and a goal of her own, adding to the attack. Six other players for BYU also took at least one shot on the night. Kayla Varner, Jessica Ringwood, Carlee Payne and Lindsi Lisonbee all contributed one with Kyleigh Royall adding two and Jepson adding three for a team total of 14.

It didn't take long for the Cougars to get on the board first as Jepson netted goal one off an assist from teammates Lisonbee and Payne just three minutes into the game. Lisonbee was the second to score for BYU at the opposite end of the first half, off a free kick with seven seconds left before the break.

The Dons also got on the board in the first half with a goal in the 42nd minute from Megan Connor. Connor was one of five players for San Francisco to contribute at least one shot for a team total of six in the 90 minutes played.

Jepson started the second half the same way she began the game, scoring BYU's third goal in the 68th minute off an assist from teammate Lauren Anderson Cosby. An own goal in the 70th minute put the Cougars up 4-1 and Marshall finished off the evening with an unassisted goal in the 87th minute to give BYU the 5-1 victory.

The Cougars play their next game back home on South Field against the University of San Diego on Saturday, Oct. 29, at 1 p.m. MT. The contest is the final home game of the regular season and will also be Senior Day.
