BYU Soccer Fans Among Best In Country
PROVO, Utah - In an article recently published by Soccer America, No. 20 BYU women's soccer received recognition for having the highest attendance in the nation for all of its home games this season.
BYU is on course to lead women's soccer in attendance this season, drawing its third 4,000-plus crowd of the season for the Cougars' 2-1 win over Cal State Fullerton on Friday, Sept. 2. In its most recent contest on Labor Day against Arizona, BYU saw 3,374 fans and earned itself an eighth-place ranking in the nation's Top 10 for the year.
BYU (3-1-1) has drawn crowds of 4,633, 4,437, 4,265, 3,374 for its four home games at the Stadium at South Field. They rank second, fourth, sixth and eighth among the season's largest women's crowds to date, according to the research done by Soccer America.
