PROVO -- The BYU women’s soccer team highlighted the 2010 National Soccer College Coaches of America’s All-Pacific Region Team by having four Cougars included on the team.

Sophomore Lindsi Lisonbee was named to the NSCAA All-Pacific Region First Team and sophomore Carlee Payne was named to the Second Team with teammates Kassidy Shumway and McKinzie Olson named to this year’s Third Team.

The four Cougars were the second highest number of players to be included on the All-Region Team. Only the Stanford Cardinal, with five players, had more than BYU.

As this year’s senior captain, Shumway was a prime performer on BYU’s offense with six goals, five assists and 24 shots. The Utah-native helped lead the team to its sixth straight NCAA appearance. This is Shumway’s third All-Region award.

Goalie standout Olson, from Cottonwood Heights, Utah, received her second consecutive All-Region award after recording 2024 minutes in front of the net while only allowing 12 goals all season.

Sophomore Lisonbee and Payne, from Park City, Utah, and Pleasanton, Calif., respectively, also both received their second consecutive All-Region award after outstanding performances this season.
