BYU Senior Class Top In Country

PROVO -- No. 10 BYU's 2010 senior class has been tabbed as one of the top performing senior classes by CollegeSoccer360.com for their 4-year winning performance at BYU.

CollegeSoccer360.com has gone through the 4-year resume of the nation's senior classes and put together the top winningest senior class, ranking BYU 6th in the nation, among such elite soccer programs as North Carolina and Stanford.

"I think BYU soccer continues to be successful because we have an amazing legacy of players who have been examples of what BYU soccer is all about: hard work, team unity, and a desire to win," said BYU senior Kristi Jackson. "Players such as Jessica Harmon and Katie Larkin, who I looked up to when I first came to BYU, were amazing leaders to me and helped me to establish what I wanted to become as a BYU soccer player."

With this year's seniors leading the way, the Cougars received their highest ranking of the season this week from Soccer America. The No. 10-ranking is the highest rank BYU has received this early in the season since the 1997 campaign when the Cougars started their season on an 11-game winning streak.

"I am proud to be a senior at BYU because we have carried on the tradition of winning and have worked hard to get to where we are," Jackson said. "Even after we are gone, we've all left our mark here at BYU as one of the hardest working teams in the country and have built a legacy for future BYU soccer teams to live up to."

Come see BYU's seniors in action this week on Thursday and Saturday against LSU and Marquette on South Field. Both games start at 7 p.m.
