COLLEGE STATION -- The BYU women's soccer team took on two powerhouse soccer schools in Texas and came away with a victory at both on its last road games of the spring.

Game one against the Stephen F. Austin Ladyjacks finished in a 1-0 shutout victory for the Cougars with the game-winning goal coming from Jennie Marshall.

Marshall's goal came off a corner kick from teammate Mercede Koning in the first half to give BYU an early lead, a lead they would keep throughout the rest of the game.

Game two saw a little more action from the opposing team as the Cougars took on the Texas A&M Aggies and came out on top with a 2-1 victory.

The first goal was scored by defender Lindsi Lisonbee off another corner from Koning in the first half, giving BYU the advantage heading into halftime. The Aggies were the first to score at the start of the second half to tie the game but the Cougars fought back hard. Jessica Ringwood netted the second goal for BYU, with an assist from Carlee Payne, to give BYU the win.

The Cougars have now played A&M in two spring seasons back-to-back going 1-1 against them.

BYU is now 7-2 in spring action as they return home ready to play in their annual outdoor spring tournament on April 10.
