PHOENIX -- The BYU women's soccer team gathered another win and loss in their spring action with two games on the road in Arizona against two very good teams, Arizona State and Nebraska.

Game one was against Arizona State and began with a goal from the Sun Devils. ASU finished their season 9-7-4 and were invited to play in the 2009 NCAA tournament.

But, Cougar Jennie Marshall would finish off the game for BYU by recording two back-to-back goals to give the Cougars their 2-1 victory for the day. Marshall's first goal was assisted by Jessica Ringwood and her second came unassisted on a breakaway.

Game two for the Cougars came right after game one and was played against Nebraska, from the Big 12 conference. The Huskers finished the 2009 season with an 11-5-4 record in a conference that sent two teams to the NCAA tournament.

In their first game of the day, the Huskers netted the first goal to start the contest. Off a cross-attempt, Nebraska took the lead. Although the Cougars would dominate the offensive attack throughout the rest of the game, they unfortunately came up short of the net each time.

BYU's spring schedule continues with a trip to Las Vegas over the weekend of March 27 where they will take on UNLV and Nevada.
