PROVO -- Junior Kassidy C. Shumway was named Mountain West Conference Offensive Player of the Week on Monday after her performance in BYU's games last week.

Shumway, a native of Bountiful, Utah, scored the game-winning goal in BYU’s 1-0 win at UNLV on Oct. 8.

In the Cougars’ 2-2 tie at San Diego State on Oct. 10, the junior sent a header past the Aztec goalkeeper in the 65th minute of the game to even the score. For the week, Shumway tallied seven shots, including five on goal.

Shumway has now scored four goals and taken 27 shots this season.

Come see the Cougars play at South Field on Thursday against New Mexico at 7 p.m. and on Saturday against TCU at 7 p.m.
