No. 18 BYU heads to Washington and Montana

PROVO -- After a come-back win over No. 15 Oklahoma State, the No. 18 Cougars now head to Pullman, Washington and Missoula, Montana to take on Washington State on Thursday at 3 p.m. and Montana on Saturday at noon.

The Cougars have now beaten three top-25 ranked teams, two of them being shut-out wins.

BYU holds an overall 121-24- away game record with a 2-1-1 all-time record against Washington State and a 6-3 all-time record against Montana.

Freshman Carlee Payne leads the Cougars with three goals and 10 shots this season. Hermann Trophy Candidate and Preseason All-American Andrea Willis is the only defender to have a shot on goal this year.

The Washington State Cougars will play Thursday with a 3-2 record. Kiersten Dallstream leads the team with 21 shots and six goals this season. Entering the 2009 season, the Cougars were ranked No. 21 in the NSCAA poll.

The Montana Grizzlies hold a current 1-4 record, gathering their first win of the season on Sept. 4 over Boise State. Kaitlyn Heinsohn and Ashley Tombelaine lead the team with 10 shots each this season. Both Heinsohn and Tombelaine also lead the team with one goal each this year.
