PROVO -- TopDrawerSoccer.com has ranked BYU women’s soccer 2009 recruiting class as the best in the Mountain West Conference. The site recognized the group of seven girls who will be joining the team next season.

The defending MWC champions, the Cougars will look to the incoming freshman class to help continue the winning tradition the team has established.

One member of the class, forward Carlee Payne, was recognized as a member of the ESPN RISE Winter Girls’ Soccer All-America First Team. Payne, a forward from Pleasanton, Calif., was one of two athletes highlighted by ESPN. She was named the Contra Costa Times Player of the Year following a 25-goal, 13-assist season.

Fans can join the official BYU Women’s Soccer Texting group by texting the word “WSOC” to 83043. Members of the group will get updates about game times and special promotions.
