Larkin, Sol Victorious in Inaugural Match
LOS -- Former Cougar All-American Katie Larkin and the Los Angeles Sol defeated the Washington Freedom 2-0 in the first game for the new Women's Professional Soccer league.
Larkin, drafted by the Sol with the fifth pick in the third round (19th overall) played almost the entire second half, relieving teammate Kendall Fletcher in the 46th minute.
