PROVO -- No. 17 BYU (12-2-3, 3-1-2) will honor its nine hardworking seniors this Saturday against UNLV (8-9-1, 3-3-0) in the last regular-season game. A win would secure a No. 2 seed in next week's Mountain West Conference Tournament, awarding the Cougars a first-round bye. The game will be televised on BYUTV and is set to kick off at 7 p.m.

The Cougars played two games last week, defeating Wyoming 3-0 and drawing 1-1 with New Mexico. Sophomore Katie Larkin, who has been named the MWC Offensive Player of the Week and named to several national teams of the week, scored the game-winning goal against Wyoming and the game-tying goal against New Mexico. Karen Cook and Natalie Nate also scored goals against the Cowgirls.

Larkin fronts the Cougar offensive attack with five goals, five assists and 17 points. Four of those goals were game winners. Also scoring goals for the Cougars are Katie Fellows (3), Brooke Bowman (2), Haylee Cuthbert (2), Alyssa Vander Veur (2), Amberlea Anderson (1), Jessica Aquino (1), Karen Cook (1), Kelsea Kakadelas (1), Natalie Nate (1), Jenavieve Phillips (1), Carolyn Swenson (1) and Claire Thomas. Behind Larkin, Swenson is second on the team with three assists.

Goalkeeper Erika Woodbury has accumulated 49 saves on the season and now holds the record for most career saves at BYU with 174. She set her second record of the season on Thursday when she collected her 10th shutout against Wyoming, setting her atop the record books at BYU for most shutouts in a single season. Waldron set the record in 1999, playing in 24 games. It took Woodbury just 16 games to break the record.

Woodbury is also chasing a third record. With Woodbury's 10 shutouts this season, she has 25 career shutouts and is just three away from becoming BYU's all-time leader. Waldron currently holds the record with 27.5 career shutouts.

UNLV's offensive attack is lead by a strong foursome. Armani Rice paces the pack with five goals and one assist. Jessica Destito, Tanya Roberts and Katie Carney have each netted three goals apiece for the Rebels. Destito leads UNLV with four assists, while Roberts and Carney have each posted three.

The Cougars hold a 9-0 advantage against UNLV with BYU winning last season's matchup 1-0 in Las Vegas.
