Y's Soccer Team Co-Champions, Seeded Second In MWC Champs

After being crowned co-champions along with San Diego State and Utah, the23rd ranked BYU women's soccer team will be the number two seed in the first-ever Mountain West Conference championships.

All three teams tied for first place with identical 5-1 records. Hosts San Diego State won the point differential between the three teams by a plus-one margin and will get a bye in the first round of the tournament. The first game for the Cougars will be Wednesday, November 3 against seventh seeded Wyoming at 2 p.m. This year's championships will be played at the ARCO Olympic Training Center in Chula Vista, California.

Two semifinal games on Thursday, November 4 will be played at 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. A victory by the Cougars on Wednesday would most likely pit BYU against Utah if the Utes pick up a win over New Mexico in the first round of games.

The championship game will be played at 12 p.m. on Saturday, November 6.
