BYU All-American soccer standout Maren Hendershot was named to the West Women's College All-Star team, and will get a chance to play against the U.S. Women's National Team, this weekend.

The West All-Star Team plays the Women's National Team on Saturday, Feb. 5 at Lockhart Stadium in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida in a 4 p.m., E.T., start time.

Hendershot, a senior forward from Colorado Springs, Colorado is the only player from the Mountain West Conference and BYU to receive such an honor this year. Four players from Santa Clara, Nebraska and Notre Dame also made the team.

Former BYU stars goalkeeper Camille Thomas and All-American Shauna Rohbock have been previous members of the elite West All-Star Team.

The East and West All-Stars will play each other as part of a double-header on Sunday, Feb. 6, at 4:30 p.m., E.T., following the game between the U.S. Women's National Team and Norway.
