No. 13 BYU heads to San Diego to face Toreros

PROVO, Utah — The Cougars travel to San Diego for a WCC matchup against the Toreros at Torero Stadium on Wednesday evening.

GAME NOTES

Wednesday’s matchup has been scheduled for 7 p.m. PDT. The game will be carried live on BYURadio.org, the BYU Radio app and BYU Radio 107.9 FM. 

LAST TIME ON THE FIELD. BYU last competed in its final home game of the regular season on Saturday evening, and tied Santa Clara 0-0. This was Santa Clara’s first tie in conference play, and the Cougars held them to zero goals for the first time in conference. BYU outshot the Broncos 24-4 and tallied 12 shots on frame.

COUGARS VS TOREROS. The Cougars and the Toreros have played 14 times previously with BYU leading the series 11-3-0. The last time the two teams met was Oct. 9, 2021 when the Cougars beat the Toreros 6-0 on South Field. A brace by former forward Mikayla Colohan, and goals by Makaylie Moore, Addie Gardner and Paola Garcia secured the victory for BYU.
