Jamie Shepherd earns WCC honors after brace against Ohio State
SAN MATEO, Calif. - Jamie Shepherd was named West Coast Conference (WCC) Offensive Player of the Week, the league announced Monday.
No. 9 BYU won its game against Ohio State 2-0 at Jesse Owens Memorial Stadium on Friday. Both goals came off assists by junior forward Brecken Mozingo while Shepherd tallied both goals. This game marked Shepherd’s first multiple-goal game of her college career, earning her the Offensive Player of the Week honor. Shepherd became the first Cougar to receive a weekly honor for the 2022 season.
