SAN MATEO, Calif. – For the second consecutive week, BYU women’s soccer senior forward Cameron Tucker has been named the West Coast Conference Offensive Player of the Week, the league announced Tuesday.

Tucker has continued to play a significant role for BYU, as she is now on a five-game goal scoring streak, tied for the fifth-longest all-time in BYU women’s soccer history, scoring in every game for the Cougars extending back to the March 24 win at San Diego. She has also added four assists in those five games.

Against No. 25 Pepperdine on Saturday, Tucker scored a game-winning goal to give No. 16 BYU a 2-1 victory. It was the Cougars’ first victory in Malibu since 2012.

In the 60th minute, Mikayla Colohan sent a pass through defenders to Tucker, as Tucker shot in the bottom right corner of the net to give BYU the 2-0 lead.

The forward has eight goals on the season and 27 of her career. She is ranked 15th on the all-time BYU scoring list.

Tucker also recorded an assist during Saturday’s matchup. In the 26th minute, Tucker passed the ball to Ashton Johnson in front of the goal, and Johnson one-touched the ball into the net. Tucker’s assist was her seventh of the season.

The Highland, Utah native has eight game-winners in her career. Three of those game-winners have been in the last five games, adding onto four in 2019 and one in 2017.

The senior last received the weekly honor on April 6, following a game-winning goal to give BYU its first victory ever at Santa Clara, as well as scoring a late goal against Saint Mary's to preserve a tie for the Cougars.

Throughout her career, Tucker has been awarded four WCC Player of the Week honors.
