SAN MATEO, Calif. – Senior forward Mikayla Colohan was named the West Coast Conference Offensive Player of the Week, the league announced Tuesday.

In BYU's West Coast Conference debut for the 2020-21 season, All-American Colohan scored the game-winning goal in the 72nd minute in a nail-biting 3-2 win over San Francisco.

The senior’s goal came just 90 seconds after a USF penalty kick to equalize the game.

Colohan also assisted on a goal by Bella Folino to give BYU the lead in the 60th minute.

Colohan’s goal marked the 24th of her career, and she has been named to the Hermann Trophy watch list for the second year in a row. Colohan has been drafted by the Orlando Pride with the 14th overall pick in the 2021 NWSL Draft.

Throughout her career, Colohan has been awarded three WCC Player of the Week honors, and was also the 2019 WCC Player of the Year.

Last week’s game-winner was the sixth of Colohan’s career. The Kaysville, Utah native’s last game winner was against Pacific on Oct. 12, 2019.
